Handmade in Armenia by a tight knit team of 40 craftsmen, each pair of Areni 1’s is brought to life with passion. Our team of designers, craftsmen, and footwear enthusiasts brought to life a product that marries form and function seamlessly. Areni 1 stands apart as a modern shoe made the old fashioned way: the ultimate combination of modern high fashion, historical symbolism, and ancient shoemaking methods. From Armenia with Love. It all started here: 5,500 years ago in the Areni 1 Cave, the world’s oldest leather shoe was made. We’ve kept this tradition through- out the millennia, and today we celebrate each step by weaving ancient inspirations into our designs. It’s what gives us a truly unique aesthetic. Materials that Make a Difference. We use only the finest Italian leathers and PTU soles (outlasts rubber 5 to 1) to guarantee unwavering quality. Each shoe is produced individually and is meticulously inspected for a superior feel and peerless durability. Shoes for the Thinker. It matters what we wear.
