Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Stephan Yacoubian has been promoted to the rank of Commander in the United States Navy. Dr. Yacoubian has been practicing orthopedic surgery in Burbank for over 20 years. He currently serves as an officer in the US Navy Reserves at the Expeditionary Medical Force, Camp Pendleton in San Diego.
Dr. Stephan Yacoubian received his medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He continued his orthopedic residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, he was a sports medicine fellow at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Yacoubian specializes in problems of the shoulder, hip and knee. He is senior partner at Orthopaedic Surgery Specialists, Burbank. He is on staff at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank and Glendale Surgery Center.
Dr. Stephan Yacoubian has volunteered his time on numerous medical and humanitarian missions overseas. After the devastating earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Dr. Stephan was part of several medical mission teams that traveled to Cap-Haitien to help survivors. He has also taken part in numerous surgical missions to Armenia and Karabakh to perform desperately needed orthopedic surgeries.
Dr. Yacoubian resides in Glendale with his wife Maro Najarian Yacoubian and their four children.
