Western U.S. Armenians Strongly Condemn ARF-Autocrat Viken Hovsepian, Arch Hovnan Derderian, KGB Karekin II Twin Clans’ monopolization of both the Western Diocese and Western Prelacy

Why are the Western U.S. Armenians increasingly condemning ARF-WUS/ANCA-WR autocrats Viken and Nora Hovsepian, and their associate Arch. To Hovnan Derderian, KGB Karekin II’s clans. Because there seems to be direct or indirect close-cooperation between the two clans in the secret “Big Plan” for the usurpation and illegal appropriation of Cilicia See’s Western Prelacy and Etchmiadzin See’s Western Diocese.
A recent development. What happened to Saint Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church of Glendale and Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church of Upland, which is east of Pasadena and northeast of Montebello? Is there any truth in the claims that the founding pastors of these churches fell victim to the tyranny of a fellow clansman of KGB agent Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians Arch. Hovnan Derderian and the ARF autocrat V. Hovsepian?
What happened with the Saint Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church of Glendale?
After being put in a state of limbo for many years and waiting patiently the diocesan leader of the Western Diocese, Arch. Hovnan Derderian to fulfill his promise; and becoming a victim of Arch. Derderian’s double talks, finally on Sunday, June 25, St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church of Glendale’s Parish opened the Church independently.
Why were they put in a limbo?
According to reliable sources, Reverend Petros Baghramian of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, after serving for many years in the Armenian Church of Russia and New Nakhichevan, moved to Los Angeles to join many former members of his congregation and to continue his spiritual mission in America. Immediately after his arrival, Priest Baghramian, always faithful to the Mother See, contacted Arch. Hovnan Derderian. They agree that Rev. Baghramian should create a church under the auspices of the Western Diocese. According to well-informed sources Derderian’s modus operandi: He lavishes ample promises to lure in a person or a group with a false pretense that he will support the creation of a new church. However, after keeping his prey in limbo for an extended period of time, Derderian not only breaks his promises, but putting his vindictiveness to work, he perpetrates the unimaginable. Unilaterally, he declares defrocked a spiritual servant with a true calling for spiritual mission. Hence Rev. Baghramian is declared “defrocked” with the complicity of Karekin II, who has usurped the Holy Etchmiadzin Throne of the Catholicosate of All Armenians.
Many will ask why this lowly act by Arch. Derderian? Long-time members of the Western Diocese, whose identity is kept anonymous, claim that those healthy churchmen and faithful laymen who are against the illegal embezzlement of funds within the Armenian Church; who are against lying, forgery, and other immoral acts, are targeted by Arch. Derderian and his clan members. Without any due process, illegally, without any investigation by a judicial body, or a fair judicial process, he arbitrarily declares “defrocked”. Or, they are forcibly dismissed under the pretext of “going into retirement”. Unfortunately, Rev. Baghramian is neither the first nor the last victim. Similarly, Rev. Kevork Hallajian, Founding Pastor of the Holy Cross Apostolic Church, located to the east of Pasadena and northeast of Montebello, has become another victim of Hovnan-Derderian-style persecution. In the last two decades, more than 15 other clergy have become victims of Arch. Derderian’s tyranny and vindictiveness.
In 2016, when Arch. Derderian illegally dismissed the devoted pastor of San Diego and a long-term servant of the Armenian Church, Priest Datev Tatoulian, many believers were shocked. They started a large-scale Facebook campaign to defend truth and justice. They fought to restore the rights of Priest Tatoulian, which were violated by Arch. Derderian. Many believers turned to the editors of the USA ARMENIAN LIFE Magazine, hoping that, as a member of the non-partisan Armenian FREE PRESS, it will shed light on the truth bringing to the forefront of public awareness the great injustice to which Reverend Tatoulian and other devoted clergymen were subjected at the hands of Derderian and his clan. In 2016, this author wrote an article about the issue titled “ IS ARCHBISHOP DERDERIAN A SPIRITUAL LEADER, OR AN OTTOMAN DESPOT?”
Driven by a strong sense of journalistic mission as a non-partisan, independent and free press, USA ARMENIAN LIFE brought to light many hidden facts covered up by the primate and his ‘flying monkeys.’ For the record, the reading public has always highly appreciated and supported the impartial and non-partisan approach adopted by USA ARMENIAN LIFE. Over the past 38 years, USA ARMENIAN LIFE has shed light on the injustices perpetrated by the elements within the church communities operating also under the umbrella of the Catholicosate of The Great House of Cilicia.
In 2018, the NEW ARMENIA NEW CATHOLICOS movement was formed in Armenia with the aim of getting rid of the usurer and KGB agent Karekin II, who on the fateful day of October 27, 1999, through fake elections, usurped the Throne of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. On the same day, a massacre took place inside the Parliament of Armenia, in which the head of state and the Prime Minister of Armenia Vasgen Sargsyan, the Speaker of the Parliament Karen Demirjian and other state figures were massacred. Karekin II’s fellow KGB comrades and political allies former presidents Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan emerged as the main ‘beneficiaries.’
In the same year, the ARMENIAN CHURCH REFORM MOVEMENT and its ally SAVE WESTERN DIOCESE COMMITTEE were established in America.
Shortly after it was revealed that Arch. Derderian’s cronies, Sinan Sinanian, Joseph Kahneman, and other elements reportedly conspired a secret plan to take over the $100 million asset-rich, Ararat Home of Los Angeles. Immediately after breaking of the news concerned activists formed the SAVE ARARAT HOME OF L.A. COMMITTEE. Fortunately, Arch. Derderian’s clan’s despotic move failed thanks to dedicated, fair-minded and determined activists.
And in 2020, it was revealed that attempts were being made to secure the re-election of Western U.S. Prelate of Cilicia Catholicosate Arch. Mousegh Mardirossian. Despite the fact that Arch. Mardirossian was discredited due to his immoral lifestyle and was the target of ample criticism and condemnation, he was patronized by the Western U.S autocrats of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Viken and Nora Hovsepian and their clan. Viken Hovsepian, his wife Nora Hovsepian and their clan made every effort to get Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian re-elected.
However, in the mid-2020, unfortunately for Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian, Viken Hovsepian, Nora Hovsepian and their clansmen, a new movement started against them. A large group of faithful of the Catholicosate of The Great House of Cilicia gathered. Very quickly, the SAVE WESTERN PRELACY COMMITTEE was formed. The Western Prelacy functions under the auspices of the Catholicosate of Great House of Cilicia.
SAVE WESTERN PRELACY COMMITTEE members and supporters appealed to the editors of USA ARMENIAN LIFE and USA ARMENIAN LIFE TV to shed light on Viken Hovsepian, Nora Hovsepian and their clansmen so that they back off from “the foolish idea of re-electing an immoral person like Arch. Mardirossian to the position of the prelate.
The staff of the editorial staff of the ARMENIAN LIFE Weekly and USA ARMENIAN LIFE TV came forward and in the weekly issue and televised program of September 11, 2020, addressed Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian and Arch. Hovnan Derderian’s close ties, while mentioning the hypocritical and unpatriotic nature of both leaders.
After a short time, in October 2020, prudent key individuals within the Western Prelacy quietly “sent home” Arch. Mardirossian quietly gave thumbs down to his re-election bid. Very Rev. Torkom Donoyan, a young new force, was elected instead. Later on, after being elected prelate, Donoyan was promoted to the rank of ‘bishop.’
In the meantime, during Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian’s last 8-10 years of tenure, in view of his immoral behavior and lifestyle, the editorial staff of USA ARMENIAN LIFE and USA ARMENIAN LIFE TV implemented a boycott rejecting all the invitations and press releases sent by Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian.
Similar editorial policy is still implemented against Arch. Hovnan Derderian of the Western Diocese, due to the latter’s immoral and vindictive character, and for being involved in numerous and diverse immoral acts along with his fellow clansmen.
In view of Arch. Moushegh Mardirossian’s removal from office, the Save Western Prelacy Committee eased its work but always remained vigilant.
Recently, when the Armenian faithful became aware of the fact that the self-proclaimed autocrat of the ARF Western U.S., Viken Hovsepian and his clan have raised their heads again and are showing a usurious attitude, the members of the SAVE WESTERN PRELACY COMMITTEE revived their activities. They decided to join the ARMENIAN CHURCH REFORM MOVEMENT and its affiliate SAVE WESTERN DIOCESE COMMITTEE to jointly save the two dioceses that have been monopolized by the ARF autocrats Viken and Nora Hovsepian and KGB-agents Catholicos Karegin II-Arch. Hovnan-Moscow’s Arch Yezras mafia. Many firmly insist that their time has come to an end.
They also claim that the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem should also be sanctified and returned to the administration of the Armenian Nation. They emphasize that “The time has also come to an end for the Patriarch of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Arch. Nourhan Manoogian’s clan. Democracy, which was illegally erased in 1928, must be restored so that the children of the Armenian Nation exercise complete control over their national treasures and do not allow the illegal 99-year lease to be illegally implemented and 25% of the Holy Lands or even the smallest part to be misappropriated illegally.” Armenian activists around the world insist that “tools are always present.” And that “no wrongdoer will be able to escape from responsibility.”
Credible sources from the Western Diocese state that in order to weaken the positions of their opponents within the Diocesan circles, Arch. Hovnan Derderian and his associates often label them as “tashnags (ARF’ers”. The sources further claim that “Arch. Derderian’s lowly working style is laughable and hypocritical because of the fact that Derderian is a protégé of ARF/ANCAWR autocrats Viken and Nora Hovsepian.”
In the near future, the unidentified members operating secretly within the Western Diocese and Prelacy will begin to reveal the identity of those laymen who, for the love of their own glory and personal gain, side with evil against good, the unpatriotic against their own people, the un-Christian against the Christian faithful.
As pointed out by many activists, “the ARMENIAN NATION continues to experience a strong renaissance in the Homeland and in the Diaspora. The place of corrupted organizational leaders is in the dustbin of history. Many thousands of Armenians will not only witness but also participate in the formation of New Armenia and New Diaspora.”
