In a California Supreme Court case “DIVINE FOOD AND CATERING v. WESTERN DIOCESE OF THE ARMENIAN CHURCH OF NORTH AMERICA” (Case Number S281322) Arch. Hovnan Derderian-led Western Diocese was dealt with legal defeat.
A few days ago, it was revealed that on Thursday October 19, seven California Supreme Court judges unanimously denied an appeal case filed by Arch. Hovnan Derderian-led Western Diocese attorneys Brian S. Kabateck and Shant Karnikian.
Beleaguered attorneys Kabateck and Karnikian led a platoon of attorneys that attempted to overturn an earlier verdict by a California Appellate Court against their highly corrupted and nepotistic clients Diocesan Primate Arch. Hovnan Derderian, his spokesperson Priest Manoug Markarian, Markarian’s son and Diocese’s Executive Director Harout Markarian.
Reportedly, many Western Diocese insiders and silent whistleblowers have been keeping a tab on the growing number of California Judges who have consistently issued verdicts against Primate Arch. Hovnan Derderian-led Western Diocese. One of the faithful at Western Diocese who vehemently opposes the wasting of Western Diocese funds by Primate Arch. Hovnan Derderian and his cohorts said to USA Armenian Life: “Now, the number of California Judges who took judicial decisions against the Western Diocese’s corrupt and nefarious leadership has jumped from seven (7) to fourteen (14).
In order to silence USA Armenian Life’s Appo Jabarian and other investigative journalists reporting on developments pertaining “DIVINE FOOD AND CATERING v. WESTERN DIOCESE OF THE ARMENIAN CHURCH OF NORTH AMERICA,” recently Arch. Hovnan Derderian-led Western Diocese attorneys Brian S. Kabateck and Shant Karnikian resorted to legal harassment against USA Armenian Life.
Onn July 26, attorneys Kabateck and Karnikian served USA Armenian Life with a totally unjustified subpoena for deposition in a case (no. 19STCV38577) involving — PLAINTIFFS, WESTERN DIOCESE AND ST. JOHN CHURCH; DEFENDANTS/RESPONDENT: PETROS TAGLYAN.” The subpoena for deposition has been served in order to intimidate USA Armenian Life into silence.
