RUSSIAN-INSTIGATED: Azerbaijan’s Ridiculous demands from Armenia on elimination of Territorial Claims

Posted on August. 30. 2024

Behind the scenes, Russia keeps on fueling Azerbaijan’s appetite for more land grab from Armenia.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in an interview with Russian Federation’s mouthpiece ‘Izvestia’ today on the sidelines of the Baku meeting between Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, said any peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan must eliminate all mutual “territorial claims”.

“For us, the main issue is that all existing territorial claims should be completely eliminated and the document, ideally the peace agreement, should eliminate all possible risks, a possible return to that issue in the future,” Bayramov said.

The 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) is set to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11 to 22 November 2024.

In an open letter to the secretariat for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a global coalition of non-governmental organizations, including the Inter-national Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) in the framework of the Observatory for the protection of human rights defenders, call the institution to stop hosting Conference of Parties (COP) annual climate summits in authori-tarian countries such as Russia and Azerbaijan (upcoming COP29).

World Armenian should mobilize in speaking out en masse against the UNFCCC’s misguided decision in holding the 2024 COP-29 in Baku. Additionally, Armenians need to step up their lobbying efforts for Artsakh Armenians’ return to a sovereign Republic of Artsakh.
