Parishioners to Celebrate Priest Rev. Kevork Halladjian’s Ordination this Sun. May 28 at the Armenian Apostolic Church of Upland

Yerevan, Armenia — On Sunday May 21, a Holy Mass and Ordination Ceremony was performed by the former Primate of Russia and New Nakhichevan Arch. Tiran Kiureghyan and Very Rev. Goryun Arakelyan with the participation of a large flock of faithful. The faithful trekked from local and distant regions in Armenia, and faraway United States of America and Russia to a medieval Armenian Apostolic Church located in a mountainous region just north of capital city Yerevan.
Deacon Kevork Halladjian of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Upland, and Armenia-based seminarian and a Fellow Seminarian of V.Rev. Goryun (name being withheld) were elevated in ranks. In a back-to-back solemn and inspiring ceremony, Deacon Kevork Halladjian was ordained as a Priest (“Kahana”) – an ordained priest who is married; and Fellow Seminarian of V.Rev. Goryun took a vow of celibacy as he was ordained as a Priest (“Apegha”).
In attendance were many notable journalists such as Armenia-based investigative reporter Kevork Yazedjian and U.S.-based investigative reporter and Managing Editor, USA Armenian Life Appo Jabarian.
This Sunday, May 28, the Armenian Apostolic Church of Upland parish will hold an event celebrating Rev. Halladjian’s ordination as a Priest. You are invited to join the faithful.
The Upland community continues to experience growth. There are now over 70 families registered as full-fledged members of the independent parish of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Upland.
