Among the four representatives of Armenia, Lilit Mkrtchian took the highest place, tallied 7.5 points out of 10, and finished ninth at the European Women’s Chess Championship 2024 that wrapped in Greece.
As a result, Mkrtchian qualified for the Chess World Cup.
Armenia’s Elina Danielian finished 28th, with 6.5 points, Susanna Gaboyan—75th, with 5.5 points, and Mariam Mkrtchyan—116th, with 4.5 points.
Ulviyya Fataliyeva (Azerbaijan) won the European Women’s Chess Championship title, with 8.5 points.
