Financial and emotional losses were compounded by thousands of wildfire victims as they confronted with what was already a difficult and expensive housing market in Southern California. The massive wildfires sent thousands of families scrambling to find some place to live, likely for the next several years, could make everything even worse.

Several readers of USA Armenian Life have lost their life-earnings. Others living in the dangerously close vicinity reported to have been left without electricity and gas spending cold nights with no vacancy in the nearby hotels and motels.

More than 7,500 firefighters were battling several massive fires that engulfed areas like Pacific Palisades and Eaton Canyon covering around 45 sq. miles. Helicopters were dropping water and fire retardants on the blaze.

According to real estate experts, “Restoring the city’s lost housing stock is likely to take at least three to five years, because of the time it takes to clear the burned homes, reach settlements with insurance companies, work through the permitting process and then find the labor needed to rebuild,”: reported CNN.
