Armenian boxer Anahit Aroyan (15-1) has claimed the WBA Continental championship title, Sportaran reports. On September 20 in Dubai, the 26-year-old athlete secured a confident victory over Tanzanian fighter Stumai Muki Paulo (11-6). After eight rounds, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Aroyan. She knocked her opponent down as early as the third round and maintained complete control of the bout from that point forward. For Aroyan, this success marks an important step on her path to the top of the bantamweight division. Before the fight, she was ranked seventh by BoxRec, and now her position in world boxing has significantly strengthened.
