Armenian soccer player Stephan Soghomonian, representing SMU Athletics, won the 2025 ACC Men’s Soccer Tournament. In the final match against Virginia on November 16, Soghomonian scored the only goal and secured the championship for his team, Sportaran reports. The 21-year-old forward scored in each of the four playoff matches. He netted one goal in the 5–4 win over Wake Forest, the only goal of the match against Stanford, added another in the 5–1 semifinal win over Syracuse, and sealed the title with his strike in the final against Virginia. Overall, during the season Stephan Soghomonian scored 13 goals and provided 1 assist in 18 matches, while starting in only eight of them.
