The European Union will hold discussions on ways to support Armenia ahead of its upcoming elections, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said on Monday in Brussels. Speaking to reporters before the Foreign Affairs Council meeting on 15 December, Kallas noted that Armenia would be the focus of an initial discussion during a working breakfast. She said the issue of how the EU can assist Armenia in the pre-election period would be on the agenda. According to Kallas, Armenia has requested support similar to assistance previously provided to Moldova, particularly in countering foreign malign influence. She added that the EU would consider how it could help address such challenges as part of its broader engagement with the country.
