Russian Premier League club Krasnodar has congratulated their captain and Ar- menian international Eduard Spertsyan on being named Armenia’s Footballer of the Year for 2025. “A productive and vibrant 2025 for Edo. The Football Federation of Armenia has recognized Eduard Spertsyan as the country’s Footballer of the Year. Con- gratulations on this well-deserved honor, captain!” the club said in a Telegram post on Saturday. Spertsyan, 25, scored five goals for the Armenian national team in 2025 and won the Russian Premier League title with Krasnodar for the first time in his club career. The award was decided by a vote, in which Spertsyan received 17 votes, ahead of Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who garnered eight votes.
