The Embassy’s Senior Defense Official Colonel Matthew Crowe presented the Legion of Merit to Colonel (ret) Arman Mkrtchyan in recognition of his exemplary service as the Armenian Defense Attache to the United States. Throughout his tenure, Colonel Mkrtchyan provided superb plan- ning, collaboration, and oversight for our countries’ bilateral dialogues and engagements between the se- niormost leaders in the U.S. and Ar- menian armies. Colonel Mkrtchy- an’s efforts directly contributed to the deepening of the U.S.-Armenian defense relationship, strengthening security cooperation and training between our militaries. The United States thanks Colo- nel Mkrtchyan for his dedicated ser- vice and leadership.
