On August 19, First Deputy Minister of Defense-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien, Assistant Adjutant General, Commander Kansas Army National Guard, Brigadier General Carlin Williams, foreign Defence Attachés accredited in the Republic of Armenia, as well as other high-ranking military officials, observed the ongoIng Armenia-U.S. joint exercise “EAGLE PARTNER 2025”, conducted in preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions. The distinguished visitors observed the active phase of the practical exercise.

Servicemembers from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard participate in the exercise. The exercise focused on preparation and execution of peacekeeping operations with a strong emphasis on medical evacuation procedures. The purpose of the exercise is to enhance the interoperability of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, exchange best practices in control and tactical communications, and improve the readiness of the peacekeeping unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Units preparing for international peacekeeping operations regularly engage in similar joint military exercises and training with partner countries.

US Military Attaché Attends “Eagle Partner 2025” Drills in Armenia

US Military Attaché in Armenia, Colonel Matthew Crowe, participated in exercises involving servicemen from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Kansas National Guard, which were dedicated to providing medical assistance. This was reported by the US Embassy in Armenia. The event took place at the “Zar” training center within the framework of the “Eagle Partner-2025” Armenian-American military exercises. Servicemen from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the US Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard participated in the exercises. The “Eagle Partner-2025” Armenian-American military exercises started on August 12 and ended on August 20. After the completion of the exercises, it is expected that the American servicemen and their combat equipment will return to their main duty stations.

U.S. Amb. Kvien joins Chief of the General Staff of the ROA Armed Forces to open the Eagle Partner 25 exercise

U.S. Amb. Kvien joined First Deputy Min. of Def. and Chief of the General Staff of Armenia’s Armed Forces Lt. Gem. Edvard Asryan to open the Eagle Partner 25 exercise. This is the third annual exercise building on longstanding U.S.-Armenia defense cooperation for preparation in international peacekeeping operations. The exercise concluded on August 20. “The primary objectives of the exercise are to enhance the interoperability of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, exchange best practices in control and tactical communication, improve the readiness of the peacekeeping unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” Armenia’s Ministry of Defense said. These exercises highlight United States’ commitment to Armenia’s security and broader presence and influence in the South Caucasus. In line with its policy of diversification of its foreign economic, military and political alliances, Armenia is currently expanding its security partnerships to reduce its dependence on unreliable partners who tend to underperform and obstruct Armenia’s fullscale development.
