The Shirak Airport in Gyumri, Armenia’s second largest city, will serve flights toward Europe, authorities announced on Wednesday, Armenpress reports. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan made the announced during a visit to Shirak Province. “We already have an agreement with an airline. And as part of a state subsidy program, probably soon flights will be launched to a new destination, towards Europe, which will secure extra flow and economic movements for the city and the province,” Khudatyan told reporters.
