The International Chess Federation (FIDE) awarded 21-year-old Armenian chess player Mariam Mkrtchyan the title of Woman Grandmaster, the press service of the Armenian Chess Federation reports. Mkrtchyan had earned 7.5 points in the Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2025 tourna- ment and became the winner.
