BAKU — President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has received a delegation of U.S. senators. The delegation congratulated the Azerbaijani head of state on the prog- ress achieved in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Arme- nia following the agreements reached last August in Washington. Highlighting the historic signifi- cance of the agreements, Aliyev par- ticularly emphasized the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in this pro- cess. The Azerbaijani president stated that his country will continue to make efforts to promote the regional peace agenda. Noting that trade relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia have already been established, Aliyev underscored the importance of exporting Azerbai- jani petroleum products to Armenia, as well as supplying wheat from Kazakh- stan and Russia to Armenia via Azer- baijan. He also expressed hope that the TRIPP corridor will create new oppor- tunities for regional connectivity.
