NEW YORK — Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the Armenia-Turkey normal- ization process and the im- plementation of agreements reached between the two countries during a meeting in New York. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Na- tions General Assembly. According to the Armenian government, the two leaders emphasized the importance of advancing the normaliza- tion process and expressed readiness to give fresh impe- tus to bilateral relations. The sides stressed the need to consistently pursue efforts aimed at expanding trade and economic rela- tions, establishing ties be- tween the business commu- nities of the two countries, and jointly restoring the his- toric Ani Bridge. Pashinyan and Erdoğan also exchanged views on re- gional issues. The two leaders dis- cussed peace between Ar- menia and Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that it would have a significant im- pact on the development of regional cooperation. In this context, they emphasized the importance of implementing the TRIPP project and un- blocking regional transport links. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey also participated in the meeting. The Turkish presidency sep- arately said Erdoğa stressed the importance of maintain- ing the positive momentum in bilateral relations and in- vited Pashinyan to attend the COP31 Leaders’ Summit in Turkey.
