Yerevan /Mediamax/. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan has received U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy today.
The Education, Science, Culture and Sport Ministry has said that the parties discussed the ongoing “Empowering inclusive education system in Armenia” program. They touched on both strengthening of schools’ infrastructure and methodological support for reforms in education system.
Arayik Harutyunyan and Lynne Tracy also discussed the strategy for inclusive education reforms.
The parties talked about the retraining and exchange programs, funded by the U.S. government, and their continuity.
Both interlocutors stressed the importance of increasing media literacy on all levels starting from the public education institutions.
The American side expressed readiness to support initiatives and programs aimed at preservation of material and non-material Armenian cultural heritage. Arayik Harutyunyan assured the Ambassador that Armenia would happy to cooperate with the U.S. in that area as well.
