Lviv Boxing Cup: 7 Armenian athletes qualified for semifinals

Armenian boxers continue performing successfully at Lviv Boxing Cup 2019 international tournament.
7 out of 8 Armenian representatives have already qualified for the semifinals, the National Olympic Committee’s press service reported.
Zhorzhik Marutyan (57 kg) and Karen Tonakanyan (63 kg) have celebrated victories. Marutyan’s rival was Ukraine’s Dmitry Aponchuk whom the Armenian boxer defeated ahead of time.
Karen Tonakanyan overpowered Yuri Sepelyuk knocking him down in Round 3.
Thus, 7 Armenian boxers have secured at least 7 bronze medals. On October 11 they will spend the semifinal bouts.
