On Wednesday, November 27, Abdeladi Ibrahim Lahweej, Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Eastern Government, elected by the people, gathered in front of the Memorial of the Armenian Genocide in Paris. He was received by Ara Toranian, Co-Chair of the National Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF).
In front of the monument the minister recalled that his government had decided to dedicate the day of April 24 to the memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide perpetrated under the Ottoman yoke. He also emphasized the role of recognition of this crime against humanity for the prevention of genocide. Condemning terror and fanaticism he expressed all his sympathy and friendship to the Armenian people.
