Police early today arrived at the house of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) head Gagik Tsarukyan and, according to PAP MPs, searched the businessman’s home.
Tsarukyan’s lavish mansion is located on the outskirts of Yerevan.

Today’s search comes one week after Tsarukyan declared that the current government must be replaced.
Before Tsarukyan issued his declaration to replace the government, the country’s National Security Service (NSS) announced that it had uncovered evidence of 29.7 billion ($61.7million) AMD worth of illegal commercial activity linked to Tsarukyan’s Shangri La casino.
Based on its findings, the NSS has launched criminal charges of “Infliction of damage to property by deception or abuse of confidence” (Criminal Code Article 184) and “lllegal entrepreneurial activity” (Article 188).
