ArmInfo.On August 25, Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.
As reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, Feliks Tsolakyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his future activities.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for further cooperation between the relevant structures of the two countries, in particular, on the possibility of holding joint rescue exercises in border areas and developing cooperation in other areas.
Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri thanked the Minister for the reception, stressing that the centuries-old historical and cultural ties between Iran and Armenia oblige him to strengthen the partnership.
During the conversation, an agreement was reached to intensify mutual meetings of representatives of departments, to develop joint projects with a view to their implementation and bringing them to their logical conclusion.
“We have a lot to do in terms of further strengthening bilateral relations and creating a practical field. We are always ready to respond if necessary to do our best to support the friendly people of neighboring Iran,” Minister Tsolakyan said.
