After watching this very important briefing, and listening to all testimonies from Jessica, the story of the farmer worker, and the senior citizen old man.
And after listening to Jeanine, the original adviser in Faith Of The Valley,
I have strong belief that we should work on “ Protections against eviction”.
I felt the injustice when Jessica has been forced to move out by landlord, although she was paying her rent. If her lease has ended, the landlord must renew and be merciful with her not push her out.
The time of pandamic is the time when we need to be near each others, to support each others, to give a hand to one another.
If I have the power to help my brother in humanity, why not using this power? It’s a lack of humanity on behalf of the landlords, and on behalf of each person who exercises injustice toward the vulnerable person, the weak one. It’s a hurt to his dignity.
The senior citizen old man said to Landlord through your meeting:
Have a heart!
The question is: Do Landlords have hearts?
Are the landlords allowed to kick renters household out without any reason? Yes, the law protects them.
So the law is unjust, let’s turn this law as Jeanine mentioned!
This law made is unfair, unjust, is against the human rights that the US is exercising it from decades.
Even if the landlord ask renter to move out upon an eviction notice, even if its is legal what he did as this is the law, BButthat doesn’t mean that this law was JUST. It is illegal actually. And the lawmakers who did this law were completely wrong.
I agree with Jeanine : this is Injustice. We are now identifying it. We will investigate it. And we will organize together in order to overturn it.
Our duty is to overturn this law who created this injustice.
Thank you Jeanine for doing that in the Central Valley.
We cannot accept that 300000 renters households be evicted annually across the County Vally annually. we can’t accept that vulnerable renter households will be put out their homes.
WE SHOULD HAVE STRONG PROTECTION, FOR RENT, UTILITIES AND MORTGAGE,
WE HAVE TO BRING RELIEF TO KEEP FAMILIES IN THEIR HOMES.
“ We must have a strong evidence to take it to our local states, to our state leaders and put pressure on them, to extend the policy they have put in place.
We have to save our homes right now
We should proclaim a new vision for the Central Valley. We should make a Strong Tenant Union.
We should support rent, utilities, and mortgage.
We should get solutions to this problem.
Thanks to president Trump who signed the second stimulus check which can extend eviction protections, and add a new rental assistance fund .
