But the others were corrupt! But the others were corrupt!

This is just insane. This is just insane.

The lives & territory loss is 2nd to corruption. Dukhov down a rabbit hole!

The only thing Nikol Pashinyan has accomplished is that he ensured from November 9, 2020 on forward no Armenian born will ever be named Nikol.

Appo Jabarian
All former regimes and the current Pashinyan GOV must be investigated for wrongdoings
However the current regime should not resign prematurely as the old regime can rig the elections and buy votes to orchestrate their grab of and return to power and we will be far worse off then today.
The last 30 years have been marred in massive corruption and kleptocracy so return to old regime is out of the question including ARF ARMENIA
ARF Armenia needs new leadership that can keep their distance from the old kleptocracy.

Khatchig Tazian
Can you name anyone in ARF Armenia or anywhere else for that matter that has been accused and convicted of any crimes related to corruption.

Appo Jabarian
Khatchig Tazian, Reade carefully what I wrote:
“The last 30 years have been marred in massive corruption and kleptocracy so return to old regime is out of the question including ARF ARMENIA.
ARF Armenia needs new leadership that can keep their distance from the old kleptocracy.”
So ARF Armenia must disassociate itself from the old kleptocracy regimes of Kocharyan and Sargsyan and start a fresh chapter.
Loney Manoukian

Appo Jabarian,  There is no “ARF Armenia”. There is only ARF. Second, the ARF has never been associated with any old (or new) kleptocracy. Putting talented people in positions where they can try and help the country is not an endorsement of every behavior exhibited by everyone else in the government and saying so is a facile argument. Respectfully.

Appo Jabarian
Loney Manoukian,  of course there is ARF Armenia, ARF Lebanon, ARF Russia, ARF USA since when ARF has become centralized? The last time I checked ARF has maintained its centuries-old DECENTRALIZED form of structure.
There are even active internal discussions on a temporary Eastern and Western ARF Bureau system. (I would much rather discuss this segment privately). Respectfully.

Nora Tchaparian
Appo Jabarian Wow! You should know better!
I could not help myself not to respond,
There is One ARF for the last 130 years!
It’s really mind boggling that some of you are so blinded by the traitor’s propaganda machine and you can’t grasp the urgency of the situation.
Nikol has to get the hell out along with the My Step faction whose failed leadership and diplomacy lead us loose 80% of Artsakh and we are on the verge of loosing Syunik
Over 30,000 families are displaced, 5000 dead, hundreds pow’s being tortured and thousands if families going to bed every night not knowing their children’s whereabouts hoping to find a body part so that their kid can have a grave.
I am not going to waste my time argue with pseudo-intellectuals seating in their armchairs in Glendale not realizing the difference between the fake facebook Armenia and the real Armenia.

Appo Jabarian
Nora Tchaparian  I’m glad you jumped in!
We lost lands and invaluable lives (2,000-5,000) because of the culprits starting from 1991 your dear Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s all the way to Robert Kocharyan’s all the way to Serzh Sargsyan’s all the way to Pashinyan’s administration !!!
How can anyone justify ARF Armenia’s association with the old kleptocracy?
ARF Armenia should get out of the kleptocracy circle and conduct its own independent platform. This is not just coming from individuals like me but many many rank-and-file ARF members!
If I may ask, Are you a member or just a fan?

Appo Jabarian
I wonder, where lies the truth?

How can one argue against a national hero like Arkady Tedevosyan!!!

Appo Jabarian
Can anyone of you ladies and gentlemen give the rest of us an honest opinion on the death threat issued -reportedly by former kleptocracy against Mr. Vardan Ghukasyan?

Appo Jabarian
Partisanship aside,
It would have so great if we could all cooperate and bring to surface the truth about the performance of all four regimes from 1991 till today 2020 Dec. 15, 2020.

Khatchig Tazian
The losing streak will not stop until Pashinyan and his My Steppers step off the stage and let some grownups deal with the situation.

Jacqueline Vartanian
Khatchig Tazian,  like who??? The ARF…traitors

Zanku Armenian
Jacqueline Vartanian,  the only traitor here is you.

Artin Parsanian
It’s not just incompetence
Those positions they are occupying have strategic significance: nicol’s treasonous compliance is continuing.

Loney Manoukian
Incompetence implies trying but, not having ability, failing. This government has abdicated its central obligation to protect its people. It did so for the 2 1/2 years before the war, it did it during the war, and its doing it now.

Appo Jabarian
Talking about incompetence,
All four regimes starting with Levon Ter-Petrosyan (1991-1998), to Robert Kocharyan (1998-2008), to Serzh Sargsyan (2008-2018) to Nikol Pashinyan (2018-present) have been incompetent.
Time to move on.
Time to learn from our collective mistakes!
Time to establish a NATIONAL TRUTH COMMISSION to investigate all four regimes and every key player, including ARF Armenia, for any wrongdoings and hold all culprits responsible and accountable!
The reason our nation has been repeating the same mistakes is that we have not properly analyzed the performance of the First Republic (1918-1920),
The Second “Soviet Occupation” Republic (1920-1991) and The Third Republic (1991-2020).
Time to close the chapter on the current republic. We must admit: we all have our share of responsibility!
We must learn from France.
France now continues to perform well under its current Fifth Republic!
We muster enough courage and declare the current republic BANKRUPT.
Our generation should become the founders of the Fourth Republic. Our generation should become the founders of the Fourth Republic.
Kleptocracy, mafias, endemic corruption should have no place In the new republic.Kleptocracy, mafias, endemic corruption should have no place In the new republic.
Also, our generation should not repeat its own terrible mistakes of the past 30 years when 99% of Armenian Diaspora was systematically left out of the process of helping the Homeland as various Diaspora organizational leaders acted as the sole power brokers between succeeding regimes and Armenian Diaspora and effectively left out the 99% of Diaspora and made them feel UNWELCOME in the process. That counterproductive practice should end. Each and every Diaspora Armenian should be empowered to feel as an equal stakeholder in Armenia’s present and future. 1. But what happened in early 1992 and since that time has been that the Goble Plan has usually been reduced to the notion of a territorial swap, with all of the qualifications ignored including about the window during which this was possible and the countries which would have to be involved. That misunderstanding was compounded by two mistakes I made in the article, mistakes for which I have been taken to task on a regular basis. The first and smaller one concerns the flow of water from Karabakh to lowland Azerbaijan: Such flows were not and are not as important as I had thought at that time. And they did not deserve the prominence I gave them.

  2. There are many accusations of corruption for all regimes, possibly true, which need investigation and correction. These are not in our national interest as our resources are very limited compared to our enemeys’. Meanwhile all political parties should put aside their differences and form a government of national unity to help us come through this national trgedy. Mud slinging won’t solve our problems but will entrench the guity into the mode of self protection and non-cooperation. We need leadership based on cooperation and problem resolution from from our political leaders.

  3. There are many cases of corruption which need investigating in due course and the guilty dealt with, but this is not the time. It will only lead to a blame culture and not cooperation. Now is the time for all parties to set asside their differences and work together for our common good, a strong and united Armenia, striving for our rights and the unification of our homeland.
