We are living in the “end times”

Dear  reader of USA Armenian Life weekly magazine:

This is a concerned and friendly letter from an Armenian writer to the readers of the USA Armenian Life weekly magazine.

Eleven months have passed since the pandemic poisoned our planet.

All of us were confined to our homes, with masks on our faces and deprived of seeing and talking to each other. We lost our family lives, social gatherings and stopped enjoying the presence of each other. I noticed that with the curse of the pandemic, the world we are living in is in turmoil.

That led me to conclude that we are living in the “end times”.

That means that the promise given by a 33 year old man, Jesus, before returning to heaven will soon be fulfilled.Nobody knows when. All those who had predicted a date for His return have come to be false. But the promise is true. He will return and if we read the Scriptures, we will see that the event will happen sooner than we think.

That is the reason I was led to present to you the present state of the world and ask you to prepare yourself and all those who love and trust you to meet the Lord when He returns. To be ready for the rapture, when the trumpet will blow and Jesus will come down from heaven to meet His children up above the clouds.

Please read these scriptures that inform us of the event:

“The Lord Himself will descend from heaven”. 1 Thes. 4:16

“The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night” 2 Pet. 3:10

“He cometh with clouds, and every eye will see Him” Rev. 1:7

Let me review the several situations of this corrupt world, in the end times.

1. The prophetic situation: Return of the Jews to their ancestral land in 1947. The preaching of the Gospel to all the world- thru radio, television, computer, publications, distribution of 100 million Bibles each year in 700 languages, Matt. 23:14.
2. The spiritual situation: Lack of devout clergy, false prophets, love of money, fame, comfort, superficial worship, spread of atheism. 2 Cor. 11:14,15.
3. The Economic situation: Astronomical debts of nations, preparation for a cashless society.
4. The political situation: Plan for a one world government with one leader.
5. The moral situation: Approval of abortion, same sex mariage, sexual perversion, choice of sex, abolition of gender.
6. The family situation: divorces, suicides, disobedience of children, fewer marriages, children born of unmarried women, teenage pregnancy.
7. The social situation: animosity, hatred, jealousy, pride, love of self, love of pleasure, love of the world, social and racial tension. 1 John 2: 15,16. James 4:4, Rom. 12:2.

We are tempted to say that all these situations had happened in the past ages, but we cannot deny that they have reached a critical state nowadays.

The return of the Lord can happen any time. That event is called the Rapture, when all His children, the saints ( the Church, the Bride) are raptured to heaven.

The Rapture is followed by seven years of Tribulation, when the remaining population of the world will have perilous experiences.

1. An evil person, called the Antichrist, will come to bring peace between Israel and her enemies.
2. The population will not be able to buy, to work, travel, go to school without having the number of the Beast- 666 printed on their wrist or their forehead.
3. There will be wars, famine and death. ⅔ of the population of the world will perish. All those who carry the number of the beast are damned to go to hell.
4. The Antichrist will sit in the Jewish temple and declare himself god. He will force the people to worship him.

Please read: 1 Cor. 15:51-57, 1 Thes. 5: 13-18, Dan. 9:7, Matt. 24:3-28, Rev. 6-19 chapters. 

After giving you all this information, what do I recommend you to do:

1. Humble yourself, ask Jesus to clean your soul and accept you as His own. This experience is extremely important. If you don’t spend your life in heaven, you will be condemned to hell all through eternity. Live a Godly pure life, be an example to your followers by what you talk or how you live.
2. Read the Scriptures everyday. It is nourishment for your soul. Read the New Testament as many times as you can. Jesus will speak to you from the pages you read. The apostles will tell you how to live. Read Genesis, the Psalms and the Proverbs. Read the prophetic books and especially the Revelation, where it tells about these days and our future. Read the prayers and the biographies of our Armenian saints.
3. Pray every day, thank God for His blessings and ask God for wisdom and guidance. Ask God to protect you from evil.
4. Preach the saving grace of Christ. Ask your congregation to repent and not follow the church rituals blindly.
5. Serve God whenever and wherever. 
6. Show compassion to the needy, the sick, old, depressed, lonely people.Help the poor financially. Don’t live a lavish life, drive expensive cars, live in mansions. Be humble and live an exemplary simple life, like Jesus. 1 Thim. 4:12.
7. We have to ask God to help improve the situation in Armenia and diaspora. We have to ask God to improve the character of the leaders, the clergy. We have to ask God to guide and give them wisdom, to bring them out of darkness to the divine Light, from eternal destruction to a blessed salvation.

As a follow up to these recommendations, I want to write about a picture I noticed in the last issue of USA Armenian Life;

It is a picture of Aram Catholicos of Cilicia congratulating the newly elected president of the United States, Joe Biden.

My concern and question is this:

How can a clergyman of high esteem congratulate a person who thinks and acts contrary to the teachings of the Bible?

1.Biden approves abortion. Abortion is killing babies in the wombs of their mothers. There have been more than 50 million babies killed in the United States since 1973. Biden is willing to finance the Planned Parenthood organization that helps kill the babies. It is sad to know that part of our tax monies are financing Planned Parenthood.

2. Biden had assigned a transgender Assistant Secretary of Health.

3. Biden approves the LGBTQ (the gay movement), a lifestyle contrary to the teachings of the Bible.

4. Biden had asked the Public schools to teach from the Koran.

5. Biden likes to abolish gender. Our children have to decide which gender they would like to be. We know that God decides the gender of a person.

6. Biden’s Vice president approves same sex marriage.

And many more anti biblical issues.

Who should educate our clergy to act according to the Word of God?

After all these issues of concern,

I would beg you to be ready for the Rapture and to lead your acquaintances to be ready too.

The Rapture may take place any day, any moment.

What a pleasure it will be for 10 million Armenians to gather together in heaven, worshiping God forever and ever, in happiness and in peace. It will be terrible if even one of them will be absent from that heavenly feast.

BE READY, BE READY, BE READY.
