Monika Grigoryan, 21, will represent Armenia in Miss Universe 2020. Hailing from Yerevan, Armenia, she will be the Asian country’s third representative in the international beauty pageant, which was formed on June 28, 1952.

Grigoryan is a professional model. She attends Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences in Yerevan, where she studies English language and literature.

In June 2019, Grigoryan competed in Miss World Armenia 2019 and finished first runner-up. She was also Miss Tourism Global City Armenia 2019.

On March 22, 2021, the Yerevan native was appointed as Miss Universe Armenia 2020. She currently holds the Miss Charm Armenia 2020 title, as well.

In 2018, Eliza Muradyan (Էլիզա Մուրադյան) made history as the first ever Miss Universe candidate representing Armenia.  In 2019, Dayana Davtyan (Դայանա Դավթյան) represented the country in one of the biggest beauty pageants in the world, if not the biggest.

Now, it is Grigoryan’s mission to become the first ever Miss Universe from Armenia. If she finishes either in the semi-finals or finals, it will still be a first for the country.

The reigning Miss Universe Armenia 2020 enjoys dancing Armenian national dances. She also loves sports particularly tennis and swimming.
