The cafeteria is now completed for the students at the Martuni Vocational School. This will be the first time the students will have a place to eat when they are at school in over 29 years. The Azeries bombed the cafeteria and school in 1993 and the Artsakh government never rebuilt a cafeteria for the students. The facility was left in ruins It took the Knights of Vartan to provide a cafeteria for the students to have a clean place to eat a meal. The instructors, other staff, and students did all the work, From March – August they constructed and equipped it, with KOV funding for materials and equipment. Great success story. The entire construction project was 5 months from start to finish. The refrigerators, stove and kitchen sink were purchased and delivered 2 weeks ago. The school can heat up food, store food, and the students can bring a brown bag lunch. They no longer have to be hungry all day when they are at the vocational school. Keep the kids smiling and give them hope for a better future in the rural villages on the border.
