Announcement on The Passing of A Senior Knight of Vartan and Deacon Dennis Takessian

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt emotions that we announce the passing of our beloved Deacon Dennis Takessian, a devoted Deacon with over 60 years of service in the Armenian Apostolic Church.
SERVICE LEADERSHIP:
For the past 5 years, he served as the Deacon in charge of the Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church. His unwavering dedication, love, friendship, and mentorship touched the lives of many young deacons.
YEARS OF SERVICE:
Deacon Dennis Takessian began his service at Saint Sarkis in Los Angeles, contributing until the unfortunate sale of the church. Subsequently, he continued his service at Saint Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Costa Mesa.
A FOUNDING FATHER:
Since December 2019, he devoted himself to the Holy Cross Armenian Church of Upland, CA, playing a pivotal role in establishing the community. As one of the founding fathers, he exemplified devotion by alternating weeks of service between The Holy Cross and Saint Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Costa Mesa,CA
Loss for Both Communities:
His passing represents a significant loss for both communities, as he was not only a loved Deacon but also a cherished friend.
KNIGHTS OF VARTAN MOURN THE LOSS OF A SENIOR KNIGHT
The Knights of Vartan also mourn the loss of a senior Knight, and Nakhkin Sparabed in Deacon Dennis Takessian. His presence will be greatly missed.
FUNERAL SERVICE
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Details for his funeral service will be announced once finalized. The Holy Cross Armenian Apostle Church will host the service, providing an opportunity for the community to pay their respects.
