Applications for Armenian citizenship will be accepted ex- clusively digitally starting in 2026, announced RA Interior Minister Arpine Sarg- syan. “Starting January 1, all verification processes will be carried out through the platform, including queue management and payment processing,” Sargsyan noted while presenting the 2025 activity report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Earlier, it was reported that the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Minis- try of Internal Affairs of Armenia updated its website, migration.mia.gov.am, and launched a Telegram channel, https://t.me/MCSArmenia. The website is acces- sible from various search platforms and from around the world and is fully adapted to device screens of various sizes. To obtain or terminate Armenian citizenship, applicants must register on the online platform; then create, edit and submit a preliminary application for obtain- ing/terminating RA citizenship, after which the date of visiting the Migration Ser- vice (one visit is sufficient).
