Armenian Grandmaster Aram Hakobyan has emerged as the winner of the “Al- Beruniy” International Chess Tournament held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Competing in the prestigious “Masters” round-robin division, Hakobyan scored 5.5 points out of 9 to secure the title. Fellow Armenian Grandmaster Shant Sargsyan also delivered a strong performance in the same group, finishing in third place with 5 points. Armenia’s success extended to other categories of the tournament as well. In the “Challengers” group, Grandmaster Manuel Petrosyan claimed the second- place spot with a total of 6 points. Meanwhile, in the “Futures” division, Interna- tional Master Artur Davtyan also secured a silver medal finish, scoring 6.5 points.
