YEREVAN (Armradio) — The list of countries whose citizens were evacu- ated from Iran through Armenia be- tween February 28 and March 10 has expanded to 46, according to updated information released by Armenian au- thorities. Following an earlier announce- ment, additional countries have been added to the list, including Canada, Greece, Serbia, Finland, and Egypt. Citizens from neighboring coun- tries also used Armenia as a transit route, including Georgia, Iran, and Turkey. From the Americas, the countries whose citizens were evacuated through Armenia include the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Uruguay. A number of European countries were also represented, including Aus- tria, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Greece, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Por- tugal, Serbia, Ukraine, Finland, and France. From the Eurasian and Asia-Pacif- ic regions, evacuees included citizens of Australia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, New Zealand, China, Tajikistan, Rus- sia, Uzbekistan, and the Philippines. Citizens of several countries from the Middle East and Africa also transit- ed through Armenia, including Guinea, Egypt, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Iraq, Leba- non, South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Syria. According to the authorities, Ar- menia provided assistance with visa procedures when necessary to facili- tate the transit of these citizens.
