European Commissioner for Enlarge- ment Marta Kos will travel to Ar- menia on July 5 to advance concrete measures aimed at deepening cooper- ation between Yerevan and the Euro- pean Union, she announced on X fol- lowing talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. “Russia continues to intensify pressure on Armenia, trying to influ- ence the country away from the dem- ocratic choice made by its people in the last elections,” Kos stated. “I met Foreign Minister Ararat- Mirzoyan ahead of tomorrow’s For- eign Affairs Council, where we will discuss with Member States how the EU can continue supporting Armenia, showing our solidarity,” she added. According to the commissioner, the European Union plans to provide financial assistance to Armenia and help facilitate trade with neighboring countries and European markets. She said the EU’s support is intended to demonstrate solidarity with Armenia and strengthen its economic resilience.
