Armenia U16 continue their confident run at the home FIBA U16 European Cham- pionship, Division C. In their second game of the tourna- ment, the Armenian team defeated Gibraltar by a com- manding score of 109:56. Armenia took control from the opening minutes and fully dictated the course of the game. The team made strong use of fast breaks, dominated the boards and once again showed impressive scoring form, reaching almost 100 points or more for the second game in a row. The most efficient player of the game was Anthony Sarkesian. He produced a powerful double-double with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Sarkesian also added 4 steals and became one of the key figures in Armenia’s victory. The top scorer for Armenia was Dmitri Hajyan, who finished with 23 points. He also recorded 4 assists and made 3 of his 6 three-point attempts. Several other players also made important contributions. Aleksandr Abraha- myan scored 15 points, Mihail Petrov posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Ethan Kazanjian added 10 points. Armenia finished the game with 61 rebounds, 35 assists and 31 steals, which became one of the main reasons behind the dominant win. This was Armenia’s second victory of the tournament. In the opening round, the team defeated Andorra 98:62.
