YEREVAN — Armenian Prime Min- ister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. President Macron once again con- gratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and wished him success in his future work. The two leaders discussed issues on the Armenia–France strategic part- nership agenda and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to consistently developing bilateral relations and ex- panding cooperation. Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked President Macron for France’s contin- ued support for Armenia’s democratic reform agenda. He also emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral trade and economic cooperation and expanding opportunities for Armenian exports. The two leaders also discussed the deepening of the Armenia–European Union partnership, as well as regional and international issues. They addressed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of estab- lishing stable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus. “I spoke with Nikol Pashinyan to reaffirm France’s support for Arme- nia’s sovereignty, as well as for the continued implementation of econom- ic and democratic reforms,” President Macron wrote following the conversa- tion. “We also discussed in detail the implementation of the bilateral strate- gic partnership agreement concluded in May,” he added.
