YEREVAN /ARKA/. Armenia is in- terested in the continued existence of the Eurasian Economic Union, stated Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoy- an. “We don’t want the EAEU to dis- integrate. We want it to remain as a structure. We’re thinking about the EAEU because it’s our organization,” Papoyan told reporters at a briefing on Friday. Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan asked Russian Presi- dent Vladimir Putin to take measures to resolve the issue of restrictions on the export of goods of Armenian ori- gin to the Russian market. On July 30, he stated at a briefing that the Eurasian Economic Union is de facto in a state of collapse because the provisions of the EAEU treaty are not being imple- mented. On restrictions on the supply of Ar- menian products to Russia Since the end of May, Russia has been gradually introducing restrictions on the supply of certain products from Armenia, citing violations of phytos- anitary requirements. The restrictions apply to flowers, mineral water, certain types of alco- holic beverages, vegetables, fruits, berries, grapes, potatoes, dried fruits, and later to live fish and fish products. Dairy products were also added on July 27. The restrictions also include a ban on the transit of products of Armenian origin through Russia to other EAEU countries.
