SYUNIK — Representatives of Arme- nia and the United States held meet- ings in Goris, Meghri and Kapan with representatives of local communities to discuss the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project. Representatives of Armenia’s Min- istry of Foreign Affairs and Interna- tional Trade, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen, U.S. State Department Senior Adviser for Policy Planning Dr. Jon Askonas, and representatives of the engineering firm AECOM partici- pated in the meetings. Representatives of Syunik commu- nities received updates directly from Armenian and U.S. officials on the implementation of TRIPP in Arme- nia. They also had an opportunity to ask questions, present their views and discuss how expanded regional con- nectivity could create new economic opportunities for Armenia, particularly Syunik, while supporting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
