YEREVAN — A two-day forum bringing together representatives of the Armenian and Turkish business communities has opened in Yerevan. The event was organized by the Union of Manufacturers and Business- men of Armenia as part of the EU- funded program “Support to Armenia- Turkey Normalization: Strengthening Cross-Border Relations.” The forum aims to bring together representatives of the business com- munities and government institutions of Armenia and Turkey to discuss op- portunities for economic cooperation, identify new areas and formats for col- laboration, and promote the establish- ment of new business ties and partner- ships. The event will feature discussions and meetings focusing on the potential for bilateral economic cooperation, the development of business ties and op- portunities for cross-border collabora- tion. Research findings on opportunities and existing obstacles to road trans- portation between Armenia and Tur- key will also be presented. Participants will discuss the next steps in Arme- nian-Turkish economic cooperation. In addition, bilateral business-to- business (B2B) meetings will bring together representatives of the infor- mation technology and tourism sectors from the two countries.
