Washington, D.C. – References to the status of Armenian American church attendance are highlighted in the two full-page open letters in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal discussing Pope Leo XIV new world-class benchmark statute on religious institutional good governance.
Pope Leo XIV’s new financial statute sets a world-class benchmark for religious stewards globally to measure and manage their organizations. The statute requires the Vatican’s supervisory authority to operate with transparency, integrity, accountability, and effectiveness through good governance.
The open letter authored by Khachkar Studios and affiliates primarily focuses on Pope Leo’s new statute on transparency, accountability, and performance, but contains one paragraph on Armenians.
The paragraph references Armenian Christians, asking three questions and challenging Armenian Christians to join the movement to revitalize Armenian church attendance.
