This result also opens the door for an additional Armenian pair to participate in the next World Championships. Furthermore, the duo earned two spots for the senior Grand Prix series, granted exclusively by the International Skating Union. In the pairs competition, the gold medal was won by Germany, silver by Georgia, and bronze by Canada. Armenia’s other representative at the championships, single skater Semyon Danilyants, did not qualify for the free skate. He placed 26th out of 36 partici- pants in the short program with a score of 70.94 points. As only the top 24 skaters advance to the free skate, Danilyants concluded his participation after the short program.
