YEREVAN — Drone operations and other general aviation flights will be prohibited in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia from May 3 through May 5, 2026, ac- cording to Armenia’s Civil Avia- tion authorities. The restriction applies only to general aviation activities, specifi- cally including:Non-commercial business flights; Training flights; Private flights; Agricultural, construction, research, filming, survey, advertising, and other special-purpose service flights; All types of unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) flights Authorities emphasized that the above restrictions do not apply to commercial scheduled or charter flights, nor to flights conducted during emergency situations. The measure is strictly limited to the specified period and is being introduced due to major large-scale events in Armenia involving numerous foreign delegations, with security cited as the primary reason.
