YEREVAN — Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Hamid Ghanbari discussed the strategic relationship between Ar- menia and Iran during a meeting in Ye- revan on July 30. The officials focused particularly on infrastructure projects, including initiatives in the energy and transpor- tation sectors. They emphasized the importance of the opportunities cre- ated by implementing new regional connectivity projects. The parties also discussed regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan stressed that Armenia is closely monitoring the cur- rent situation and attaches importance to establishing peace and resolving existing issues through constructive efforts. During a separate meeting with Ar- menian Deputy Foreign Minister Va- han Kostanyan, the parties discussed matters on the Armenia-Iran agenda and reviewed ongoing cooperation. They also exchanged views on oth- er issues of mutual interest.
