We who hold the historic Armenian presence in Jerusalem dear to our hearts are concerned in the real estate agreements the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem has recently signed, leasing the historic field (Cows’ Garden/”Goveroun Bardez”) southwest of the Armenian Quarter for 99 years in the Old City of Jerusalem, as reported in the Armenian and Arab media. We ask Patriarch Nourhan Manougian to make public the lease and withdraw his signature from the transaction as soon as possible.
Մենք՝ ստորագրեալներս, որոնց համար հոգեհարազատ է հայկական պատմական ներկայութիւնը Երուսաղէմի հին քաղաքէն ներս, խորապէս մտահոգուած ենք Երուսաղէմի Հայոց Պատրիարքութեան կողմէ կնքուած կալուածներու վարձակալութեան պայմանագրով: Ըստ հայկական եւ արաբական հաղորդումներու, խնդրոյ առարկայ կալուածը («Կովերու պարտէզ») կը գրաւէ Հայկական թաղամասի հարաւ-արեւմտեան տարածքը: Վերջերս այդ կալուածը 99 տարիով տրուած է վարձակալութեան: Այսու, կը խնդրենք Ամենապատիւ Տ. Նուրհան Պատրիարք Մանուկեանէն, որպէսզի հնարաւորին չափ շուտ չեղեալ համարէ իր ստորագրութիւնը:
Nous sommes troublés dans les développements récents concernant une entente immobilière de la part du Patriarcat arménien de Jérusalem. Ce dernier a récemment signé un bail de location pour des terrains historiques, renommés « Cows’ Garden » en tant que tel, une région sud-ouest du Quartier Arménien. Après des nombreuses efforts torts pour obtenir plus d’informations sur ce bail, on exige que le Patriarche Nourhan Manougian rend publique les conditions de ce bail, et qu’il retire sa signature de cet entente dans les plus brefs délais.
