In an interview with the Naftemporiki newspaper, Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias referred to use of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine, as well as Turkey’s progress in their production.

“It cannot be denied that technological developments in drones and anti-drone systems have changed the way warfare is conducted globally. During my recent visit to Armenia, I learned a lot about their use on the modern battlefield. Let me remind you that the armed forces of that country were attacked by the army that massively used unmanned aerial vehicles, including ‘Bayraktar’ UAVs. For the same reason, we will cooperate with Armenia within the framework of bilateral agreements on cooperation in the field of defense and based on the lessons learned from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Greece is aware of the importance of these technologies and is actively working to strengthen its capabilities in the field,” the Greek Minister said.
