WASHINGTON, DC — The admin- istration of U.S. President Donald Trump remains committed to turning the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) initia- tive into reality, according to an exclu- sive response provided by a spokesper- son for the U.S. Department of State to Armenpress. “TRIPP continues to remain one of the United States’ priorities because it has the potential to promote peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus and beyond. The Trump administra- tion remains committed to fulfilling its pledge to make TRIPP a reality,” the State Department spokesperson said. The spokesperson recalled that the project envisions the creation of a multimodal transportation hub linking mainland Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, while fully respect- ing Armenia’s sovereignty, territo- rial integrity, and jurisdiction, and at the same time ensuring recipro- cal benefits for Armenia. “TRIPP will provide seam- less international and domestic connectivity across the region, expanding opportunities for eco- nomic growth and greater prosperity,” the spokesperson noted. According to the spokesperson, Azerbaijan will gain direct connectiv- ity with Nakhchivan, while Armenia will benefit from improved regional links that could unlock the South Cau- casus’ economic potential, all while preserving Armenia’s sovereignty, ter- ritorial integrity, and jurisdiction. The U.S. State Department spokes- person also noted that Armenia is working in cooperation with the Unit- ed States and mutually agreed third parties toward the implementation of the TRIPP initiative.
