On May 8, the official opening cere- mony of the direct Wizz Air flight be- tween London Luton Airport and Zvar- tnots Yerevan took place at London Luton Airport, marking an important milestone in strengthening connectiv- ity between Armenia and the United Kingdom. In his remarks, Ambassador Nersesyan welcomed the launch of the direct route, emphasizing its signifi- cance for deepening Armenia–UK re- lations. The Ambassador noted that the new connection would not only make travel between the two countries more accessible, but would also contribute to the further development of tourism, business links, educational exchanges, and cultural cooperation. Amb. Nersesyan underlined that di- rect air connectivity plays an important role in strengthening people-to-people contacts, bringing the Armenian and British peoples closer together and creating new opportunities for coop- eration across different sectors. He also highlighted the importance of the route for the Armenian community in the United Kingdom.
