Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with representa- tives of Global Tribe Gaming on Au- gust 6 to discuss a major investment project aimed at developing an inter- national gaming, hospitality, entertain- ment and tourism complex in Yerevan. According to the Minister, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Edgar Zakaryan, Director of the Investment Support Center Foun- dation Gohar Abajyan, and Director of Dvin Hotel Complex CJSC Artak Tov- masyan. The project is planned in partner- ship with the Dvin Hotel Complex and Seven Visions Resort & Places. It en- visions the creation of an international- standard integrated gaming, hotel, en- tertainment and tourism destination in the Armenian capital. The total estimated investment amounts to approximately $500 mil- lion, including $40 million earmarked for the development of adjacent real estate, including the construction of an additional hotel tower. The project is expected to create around 1,000 jobs. During the meeting, the partici- pants discussed issues related to the implementation of the investment project, as well as taxation, licensing, regulation of the gaming sector, and payment systems.
