A delegation led by Head of the Com- monwealth of Independent States (CIS) Observer Mission and Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, Nurlan Musatayevich Seitimov, visited Arme- nia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on May 18. During the meeting, it was an- nounced that the CIS will deploy a total of 120 observers to Armenia to monitor the upcoming regular parlia- mentary elections. CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovaki- myan welcomed representatives of the observer mission and presented the commission’s preparatory work ahead of the elections. He outlined measures being undertaken to ensure the orga- nization and conduct of the electoral process.
